LICONY's 15th Annual Legislative and Regulatory Conference is taking place from October 7th to 9th at The Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, New York. The event presents new issues in the insurance industry and gives a number of state and federal officials the chance to share updated and views on regulations and legislation not only affecting the state of New York, but the life insurance industry as a whole.
The LICONY Conference App provides attendees with full access to program material for registrants to view event session details—complete with calendar integration to iCal or Outlook and surveys to give feedback on specific sessions. All PDF presentations from the overall event and specific sessions are also available to download and view in the app, as well as a speaker directory with bios and attendee directory with contact information to network with colleagues. The Life Insurance Council of New York (LICONY) "works to create and maintain a legislative, regulatory, and judicial environment that encourages its members to conduct and grow their life insurance businesses here in New York State." The council, headquartered in New York City, was founded in 1977 and is organized as a not-for-profit corporation with over 50 member companies.
