About Apps For Events

Apps For Events, a division of AppBurst, develops off-the-shelf mobile applications for the conference and event industry. Founded in 2009 by Rob Cartagine, Mike Haldas, and Greg Bond, AppBurst developed its first iPhone event app for the Cardiovascular Research Foundation’s TCT 2010 Conference. The application’s success, coupled with an industry-wide increase in demand for conference and event apps, led to the creation of Apps For Events—solely focused on developing and servicing mobile event apps. We have since expanded from iPhone apps to include iPad, Android, and mobile web versions, accommodating audiences across all platforms for conferences, meetings, and virtually any other type of event.

Position Available: 

Sales Representative / Account Manager 

AppBurst has an immediate opening for a sales/account professional to handle inbound sales, generate outbound accounts, and manage upsell and retain new and existing accounts. This is a full time salaried position onsite in our office in downtown Lake Worth, Florida.

Responsibilities include:

  •  Selling our Software as a Service (SaaS) App Solution product.
  •  Managing inbound customer requests via email, telephone, and chat.
  •  Perform outbound sales efforts.
  •  Maintain and upsell existing accounts.
  •  Follow existing sales process and document all sales and account management through our CRM system.
  •  Schedule and organize your individual sales efforts
  •  Monitor sales funnel and make suggestions on areas to improve.
  •  Give demos of our product over the Internet and phone and occasionally in person
  •  Expand and refine sales and account management processes and presentations.
  •  Monitor our industry and competition pricing and features.
  •  Keep management informed with weekly status and activity reports
  •  Contribute to overall team effort


  • Experience selling a software product or software service
  •  Experience in outbound sales initiatives
  •  Ability to work with little direction.
  •  Ability to communicate well via speech and writing

  •  Ability to organize and follow up on tasks
